Selection Warnings

• Do not use 7075 for heat sinks — 7075 conducts heat worse than 6061 and costs 50%+ more; use 1xxx or 6061.
• 6061 outdoor parts must be anodized or otherwise surface-treated.
• Don't over-spec strength: 6061 is enough for most parts; 7075 doubles cost.
• Confirm material temper (T6/O/T4) before ordering — machining difficulty differs greatly.
